66!

How did we get here? Seems like yesterday when he was just turning 22 and I, at 18. Today, the other lucky one turns 66. Where has the time gone?

I still try my best to give him what he wants for his birthday dinner. This year…no cake, but pumpkin pie. His favorite. He also asked for turkey breast, potatoes, gravy and a veggie. So, that’s what we had. 🙂

Only had one #6 candle, but he didn’t care!

Fall cookin’

When I canned my pumpkin, there was a little over that didn’t fit in the jars. What to do? Pumpkin donuts with brown sugar frosting!!

When I was a kid, being that I lived on a farm, every Sunday we had a nice meal with dessert. I sometimes do that now.

Salad, roast chicken, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, cauliflower and Apple crisp for dessert.

Fall

I am lucky that I learned how to can many years ago. It is a common activity for me in the fall.

Enough pumpkin for 10 pies. I think that will be enough for the year! 🎃
